Op-Ed: My Gardasil Horror Story

Op-Ed: My Gardasil Horror Story

This is the first vaccine licensed specifically to prevent cervical cancer. Its rapid approval underscores FDA’s commitment to help make safe and effective vaccines available as quickly as possible.

—Jesse Goodman, MD, MPH, Director of FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research

I usually write articles that are meant to educate people and counter the narratives set by the progressive Leftist fake news media and corrupt three-letter government organizations, and I suppose this is countering the narrative of the Center for Disease Control [CDC] when it comes to the Gardasil HPV vaccine, but it’s more personal than that.

Today, I am dealing with excessive amounts of pain, and as a change of pace, I’m here to tell my personal story explaining how I became disabled at the age of sixteen. This directly reflects my consistently negative opinion of all novel, fast-tracked vaccines, and their possible adverse, life-altering consequences like the ones I experience in my own life.

My Story

Receiving the Gardasil HPV Vaccine

In 2006, I was one of the first set of young girls who received the full set of three doses of Merck’s fast-tracked, 2006 Gardasil HPV vaccine when I was 16 years old. It’s the injection that changed my life forever.

I still remember my how my doctor’s office was donned with Gardasil flyers, posters, cards, and pamphlets in order to promote the new fast-tracked Gardasil HPV [Human Papillomavirus] vaccine.

I recollect glancing through the pink and blue pamphlets, idly picking them up, skimming through them, attracted to it because their marketing department obviously knew it would be aesthetically pleasing to a teenage girl like myself.

In 2006 Jesse Goodman, MD, MPH, Director of FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research said in regards to the FDA fast-tracking, “this is the first vaccine licensed specifically to prevent cervical cancer. Its rapid approval underscores FDA’s commitment to help make safe and effective vaccines available as quickly as possible.”

Gardasil 6 HPV Quadrivalent Vaccine

“Safe and effective vaccines;” where have we heard that line? It sounds vaguely familiar, doesn’t it? Sounds an awful lot like the way they promoted the COVID-19 mRNA injections, in fact, it sounds exactly like how they promoted them. Obviously, if the FDA tells us that it’s “safe and effective” then we should be safe to believe them, right? Yeah, I wish.

I found out later that my father had apparently previously communicated to my mother, explicitly stating, that he did not want me to get the HPV vaccine based on the research he had done, but she had me get it anyway because she trusted my doctor when she said I needed it.

Don’t get me wrong, I in know way blame her for her decision to follow the doctors orders; we should be able to trust doctors, and my mother was simply trying to do what was best for her precious daughter. However, I do sincerely regret ever receiving that wretched injection and wish so badly that I had never got it.

My father,  on the other hand, was distraught when he found out I had received the Gardasil HPV vaccine, but unfortunately, by then, it was already years too late to discontinue receiving the remaining two shots.

The doctor had convinced my mother that it was medically necessary for young girls to receive the Gardasil HPV vaccine because it would prevent me from “coming down with” the Human Papillomavirus which she said was a precancerous precursor to cervical cancer. She indicated that I needed the vaccine to prevent me from getting cervical cancer in the future. Of course, my mother thought she was doing right by me to do something to prevent me from getting cancer!

About Gardasil HPV Vaccine and HPV

Like I quoted earlier, Jesse Goodman FDA’s Director of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research said it was, “the first vaccine licensed specifically to prevent cervical cancer,” so it was not just my doctor that was saying it was to prevent cervical cancer!

Now, I understand that there was zero reason and no necessity at all for me to get any HPV vaccine at the time because HPV, which is sexually transmitted, is a type of genital warts, and considering I was not even sexually active at the time, there was no chance of me actually getting HPV. If I wasn’t sexually active, I wouldn’t have any chance at getting the sexually transmitted genital warts known as HPV.

Now that I know more about it, it seems absurd to me for anyone to ever even suggest any child receive a vaccine to prevent HPV, being that it is a sexually transmitted carcinogenic virus. I suppose hindsight is always 20/20, though.

However, nowadays, they’ve expanded the CDC’s Vaccination Schedule Recommendations to recommend all children ages 9 and 10 years old can get the Gardasil HPV vaccine, and all children ages 11 and 12 should get the Gardasil HPV Vaccine.

There is so much wrong with this! Notice, they recommend the Gardasil HPV vaccine for “all children,” meaning girls and boys, despite the fact that the advertised it as a vaccine to prevent cervical cancer!! Why on earth would boys require a vaccine that’s purpose is to prevent cervical cancer? Even if the argument is that it’s to prevent the boys from getting HPV because they could transmit it to girls who could then end up with cervical cancer—these 9 year old boys are not sexually active and giving or receiving sexually transmitted diseases! It’s absurd!

Secondly, they lowered the age group from 16 years old, when I got the vaccine, to recommend that children as young as 9 years old receive the Gardasil HPV vaccine!! Then, at 11 years old, they change it from saying they can get it to they should get it! Which, sadly, millions of parents will simply blindly follow the recommendation, especially for the vaccines they’re told their children should get, and without a thought otherwise, have their children receive the HPV vaccine.

Thirdly, there was zero reason to lower the age of HPV vaccine recipients. There weren’t spikes in young children getting genital warts or cervical cancer. It’s not only rare for a child to be HPV-positive, but the following study showed that HPV in the children who have vertically transmitted HPV, from their mother being HPV-positive during pregnancy, ends up clearing up entirely by 4 months of age!

A 2025 Canadian study was done to determine the risk of HPV recurrence, persistence, and incidence over 2 years of age among children born to HPV-positive mothers. They conducted the HERITAGE study on the children of the HPV-positive mothers by testing conjunctival, oral, pharyngeal, and genital samples collected in the children from birth and at every 3–6 months up to 2 years in order to estimate the probability of HPV vertical transmission [transmission from mother to child], and of HPV recurrence, persistence, and incidence among children during follow-up. Time to clear HPV among children was estimated using Kaplan-Meier technique.

Human Papillomavirus Persistence, Recurrence, and Incidence in Early Childhood

Among the 422 women with HPV during pregnancy, 395 children were born alive including twins/triplets, of which, 270 children received valid HPV testing during follow-up. HPV vertical transmission at birth was estimated at 7.3%. During the entire follow-up, we observed 91 HPV detections (among 51 children) including 2 recurrent and 1 persistent. Incident genotypes occurred in 26 of the 270 (9.6%) children with valid HPV testing during follow-up. Most HPV infections detected in children cleared with a mean time of 3.9 months.

Human Papillomavirus Persistence, Recurrence, and Incidence in Early Childhood

Ultimately,  the study concluded that HPV vertical transmission and incident HPV occasionally occur during infancy, but the risk of persistence or recurrence is overall very low, and most infections in children typically resolve quickly, with few cases of persistence and recurrence [only occurring in three children in the entire study].

The risk of persistent genital HPV infection in children is low, and most infections resolve spontaneously due to the immune system. However, while genital HPV infection in children is not common, and despite the fact that it’s proven that infections in children typically resolve quickly, they still insist that “the potential for vertical transmission and long-term complications underscores the importance of early vaccination.”

A pivotal study by Pfister and Zur Hausen in 1978 advanced understanding by using molecular hybridisation techniques to analyse HPV in paediatric cases. Their findings revealed that certain HPV types (1–3) predominantly affect children aged 5 to 15 years, laying the foundation for further studies on HPV’s impact in paediatric dermatology and oncology.

Gardasil is a human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine that protects against multiple strains of the virus. The original Gardasil vaccine targets four HPV types: 6, 11, 16, and 18.

Gardasil 9, the currently distributed version in the United States, protects against nine HPV types: 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58.

Human Papillomavirus Persistence, Recurrence, and Incidence in Early Childhood

High-risk oncological risk HPV types are types: 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 52, and 58. HPV 16 is the most frequently detected high-risk virus, responsible for 50–60% of cervical cancers, while HPV 18 causes about 10% of these cancers.

Gardasil 9 HPV 9-Valent Vaccine

Low-risk HPV types are types: 6, 11, 42, 43, 44, 54, 61, 70, 72, and 81. These types can cause genital lesions but are considered non-carcinogenic types as they are not associated with cancerous lesions and are very rarely associated with precancerous lesions. HPV 6 and HPV 11 are the most common cause of genital condylomas (genital warts).

So, as you can see, the strains of HPV that predominantly affects children [HPV types 1-3] are not the same types that cause cancerous lesions, cervical cancer, or genital warts, and are not even covered by the Gardasil HPV vaccine or the discontinued Gardasil HPV vaccine that I received!

A Polish study on HPV in women with concurrent sexually transmitted diseases claimed that “it is thought that the persistence of HPV infection and the progression to cervical cancer may be influenced by several other risk factors, such as early sexual debut, having multiple sexual partners, smoking, and the presence of other sexually transmitted infections.”

Though most sexually active women are infected at least once with HPV during their life. These infections remain mainly asymptomatic and are eliminated by immune cells within 6–18 months. Only in a small percentage of women does HPV infection persist, which in the case of high-risk HPV may contribute to the development of high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN), which may progress to cervical cancer .

The Polish study found that there was a statistically significant relationship between the incidence of Chlamydia trachomatis infection and HPV 16 infection, but not HPV 6 and HPV 11. There was also a statistically significant relationship between gonorrhea and HPV infection and gonorrhea and infection with two different HPV types, and HPV 16 was always one of the types.

The study suggested the “secretion of cytokines, such as IL-1 and IL-8 and chemokines, contributes to the maintenance of inflammation in C. trachomatis-infected patients. The consequent damage to the cervical epithelium may facilitate the penetration and indirectly HPV replication and promote chronic infection and progression of lesions to CIN II/III and cervical cancer.” It continued on to claim that, “very similar mechanisms may occur in other causes of cervicitis, e.g. gonorrhea.”

Therefore, there was a higher occurrence of carcinogenic reoccurring HPV types in women with concurrent sexually transmitted diseases, specifically women infected with C. trachomatis or gonorrhea, an occurrence which didn’t appear in the women infected with the low-risk HPV types 6 and 11, the kind that present as genital warts but don’t lead to cancerous lesions.

This furthers the idea that it is unnecessary for children, who are not yet sexually active,  to be receiving the Gardasil HPV vaccine because if they did happen to be HPV-positive, they would not only likely be of potentially non-carcinogenic types of HPV, but their immjne systems will eliminate the HPV virus within 6-18 months of infection.

Considering the Gardasil HPV vaccine is meant to prevent cervical cancer, I can only conclude that there is no legitimate reason for a young, non-sexually active boy, or even girl, to ever receive the Gardasil HPV vaccine.

Damage Done by Gardasil HPV Vaccine

To my dismay, upon researching my own adverse effects of the Gardasil HPV vaccine, I discovered that scores of teenage girls became permanently disabled after getting the Gardasil vaccine. Just like me, they have suffered for over a decade, but hey, on the bright side—they may not get HPV 6, 11, 16, or 18. So, at least they have that going for them.

This tragic fate thrust upon young women by BigPharma, before they were even sexually active in most cases, should have been all over the news in giant headlines warning people of this horrific potential outcome of receiving the Gardasil HPV vaccine. Instead, they have used their news outlets to help Merck propagate the Gardasil cover-up.

Like countless other healthy teenage girls who received all three doses of the HPV Gardasil vaccine in the late 2000s, I rather suddenly and unexpectedly became inundated with a myriad of autoimmune diseases and chronic illnesses. Abruptly after receiving my third and final dose of Merck’s Gardasil HPV vaccine I began falling victim to a plethora of diseases and disorders—invisible illnesses that have no cures and will last my lifetime. Getting that shot changed the course of the life I had ahead of me, and life as I knew it.

To my absolute shock and horror, at 16 years of age, I embarked on my unexpected lifelong journey of dealing with the ever-present agony and constant aggravation of having a grab bag of chronic diseases including:

List of my invisible illness diagnoses

Naturally, this onslaught of health disparities led to bouts of major depression and severe anxiety; conceivably the onset of my bipolar disorder as well, as I didn’t have it until after that.

Because of that vitriolic poison the doctor injected into my young body; I have been in constant agony, every day of my life since I was 16 years old. Most days filled with a widespread pain that would send the vast majority of people into the fetal position. That was my new life.

I went from an active, vibrant relatively normal girl to the woman who has 10 doctors that I regularly saw (PCP, endocrinologist, neurologist, neurosurgeon, rheumatologist, sleep doctor, pain doctor, neuro-ophthalmologist, psychiatrist, and gastrologist [not related: endodontist, dentist, optometrist, and therapist]).

I have also required numerous surgeries over the years (5) for my various medical issues, including brain surgery to install a shunt in my brain to drain the excess cerebral spinal fluid putting massive amounts of pressure on my brain. I have had seemingly endless procedures done in attempts to find relief from my relentless pains, the most helpful being radiofrequency ablation, where the doctor goes in with a special needle and cauterizes my faulty nerve endings where I have nerve damage to ease the pain that shouldn’t even be occuring.

Life has been very different for me than most,  and different than I ever could have anticipated for myself, but as long as I have God in my soul and love in my heart, nothing will change me for the worse, only for the better, and I will have more compassion and understanding for the plights of others than I ever would have before.

My mantra remains that I must always remember to keep moving forward because nothing changes if nothing changes.

The Plights of Others Like Me

I often feel like a thirty something year old trapped in the body of an eighty-year-old. It’s not fair, but as my mom always said, “life’s not fair.” Thankfully, I only have lifelong disabilities and daily pain instead of dying, as many young women have. The parents of Christina Tarsell actually won in a lawsuit against Merck for their daughter dying as the result of getting the Gardasil vaccine.

Mrs. Tarsell speaks out against Gardasil on behalf of Christina.

The CDC and WHO insist that this is a conspiracy theory against a safe vaccine, even though the FDA discontinued the 2006 Gardasil vaccine. The manufacturer subsequently created a new HPV vaccine, Gardasil 9.

Gardasil 9, along with the original Gardasil 6 HPV vaccine are not even rational to have, in my opinion. As you can see below, Gardasil 9 covers HPV types 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58. There are over 200 known types of HPV strains, so why do we need a vaccine that covers 9 types of the virus? It will simply cause the other 191+ variants to become more prevalent in society.

If this article reminds you of yourself and your own struggles after receiving the Gardasil vaccine, my heart definitely goes out to you. I am truly sorry that you have had to go through this. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

This is an edited, more thorough 2nd version of an article I wrote on my website [fiery-butmostlypeaceful.com], but something happened to my website and caused the article to get messed up, so I have to try to find the pictures, videos, and links that I had on the other site. I will try and gather the media and sources I had on the original article and add it all to this piece as I’m able. I appreciate your patience.

My prayers go out to all who have suffered a similar fate. This is a difficult life to live, and it seems to only increase in disabledness as time goes on. My heart goes out to y’all, and please know you are not alone. Getting psychiatric assistance and psychological care is so vital for victims of Gardasil to be able to live a better life, as it is mentally draining and can even be debilitating.
