The Leftist propaganda machine is at it again. This weekend, a group of concerned citizens in Vancouver, Washington, gathered to back a woman while she demanded that Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center allow her elderly mother, who was being held against her will, to have her advocate, caregiver, and Medical Power of Attorney, come into the hospital to be with her. The media and the Sheriffs department are lying about what happen in order to cover up this event.

The elderly woman suffers from a brain tumor and is unable to care for or mentally defend herself, which is why her daughter has Power of Attorney over her. This woman was brought to the hospital by her daughter for a urinary tract infection, but was whisked away from her caregiver daughter by the hospital staff. They proceeded to do unwarranted COVID-19 testing on the woman and quarantined her even though she showed no signs of having any sort of respiratory infection.
Naturally, the daughter was upset and demanded they allow her mother her caregiver, in the same way a parent would demand access to their 5-year-old, yet she was denied. This elderly woman was medically kidnapped by the Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital and kept from the person who legally knows what is best for her.

The crowd of mostly mothers who had gathered outside of the hospital had requested that the Clark County Sheriff department come to the hospital to be a witness and stand up for patient rights. Allegedly, the sheriffs department refused to get involved until the hospital called, and then they came with full riot gear to defend the hospital, and stand against the crowd of mothers and their children that had showed up. The crowd who had originally called them for help.

Kelli Stewart, a witness to what happened outside of Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital, very passionately explains the situation in the following video, demanding a retraction from the Clark County Sheriff department for putting out a false narrative:
A false narrative is being spread by the media and Clark County Sheriff department. The Columbian reported, “Because the patient refused to submit to a COVID-19 test upon admittance to the hospital, she was placed in 24-hour quarantine while receiving medical treatment, according to the Sheriff’s Office statement. The daughter demanded to see her but refused to wear a face mask, and was denied entry, according to hospital personnel.
A deputy arrived, spoke with the patient and determined that she was able to make her own decisions, according to the Sheriff’s Office statement. She told the deputy she wished to remain in the hospital for treatment.”
So, they intimidated a cognitively impaired woman with a brain tumor into saying she wanted to remain in the hospital purposefully without her caregiver who holds medical Power of Attorney present.
The Columbian also stated that, “Additional Sheriff’s Office units were called to the scene to secure other entrances to the building. In all, 22 deputies were on the scene.
“The main focus of … law enforcement was to prevent an onrush of persons entering the hospital and to ensure the safety of patients and staff,” the sheriff’s office statement said.
Several of the protesters were carrying firearms and gas masks, the statement said.”
This is also not accurate, and is a way the Leftist media demonizes their victims in order to look like they were on the side of good. No gas masks or firearms were present at the protest.
KOIN 6 News went as far as to push the narrative that the protest was a group of anti-vaxers, as you can see from their headline below, saying, “The sheriff’s office said the group consisted of “exceptionally unreasonable” people who were “anti-vaxxer, anti-science types” who live-streamed the incident on social media.”

The statement the Clark County Sheriff department put out is as follows:
