BigTech Censorship

The BigTech oligarchy has finally taken its censorship past the point of being acceptable, ignorable, and inappropriate interference in a presidential election. Facebook and Twitter have decided to censor actual news from one of the oldest, most reputable sources in America, The New York Post. Not only did they censor the tweets and posts with the link to the Post article, but they blocked access to their Twitter account! The New York Post was established by Founding Father Alexander Hamilton in 1801, so this action by the tech titans has caused such an uproar and backlash, it practically broke the internet.

The New York Post published an article about Hunter Biden, involving his father, Former Vice President Joe Biden, and a scandal regarding illegal dealings with the largest privately-owned energy company in China. This is a separate, yet connected scandal from Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company that an inexperienced Hunter Biden worked for and was being investigated at before his father (admitted on tape) paid to have the prosecutor replaced with someone who would work things in their favor. You can read the China-Biden scandal in this scrolling article provided by the GOP via Twitter:

The article was immediately flagged as false information even though it was admittedly not fact-checked and proven to be false. “The link you are trying to access has been identified by Twitter or our partners as being potentially spammy or unsafe, in accordance with Twitter’s URL Policy,” Twitter posted in a message to users trying to share the story.

Andy Stone, Communications at Facebook and former House Majority PAC, Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and former employee of Senator Boxer, was the one to tell the social media world that the NY Post article would be censored.

It is bewildering that he would be insisting on this being the “standard process” for “helping to protect the 2020 US Elections” when he says they are censoring it without any actual claims of it being misinformation. Saying it is eligible for fact-checking is nonsense because everything is subject to fact-checking. The only reasoning behind protecting a candidate while allowing slander from any direction on the other candidate is to interfere in the presidential election.

Needless to say, the internet lost its mind. There was no public figure on the Right or even Center-Left that could let this slip by them without letting their voice be heard. The partisan effort at influencing the results to the election is so apparent that it makes the story bigger than the Post could have dreamed of.

Prominent conservative voices like Press Secretary to the President Kayleigh McEnany, the Trump Campaign account, James Woods, and Jack Posobiec were banned from their Twitter accounts until they deleted the tweet, or in the Press Secretary’s case banned without notice.

This is the kind of behaviors that authoritarian dictatorships exhibit. We are in The United States of America, and we have the First Amendment that addresses our inherent Right to Free Speech. Section 230 is what protects the tech companies like Facebook and Twitter from liability from what their users post, but it also requires them to be a platform not a publisher in order to be afforded these protections.

Another interesting tidbit, is Anna Makanju, the Facebook executive in charge of “election integrity on the platform”; and guess what her job was before that position… “Previously, she was the special policy adviser for Europe and Eurasia to former US Vice President Joe Biden.”

In a 2019 Washington Post story, Makanju defended her former boss’s actions in Ukraine, saying she listened to calls the former vice president had with Ukrainian leadership and Burisma never came up.

“Burisma was just not significant enough,” she told the Post.

That’s right, the Facebook executive currently in charge of election integrity, is the same person who’s currently blocking all of the negative evidence of Hunter and Joe Biden’s corrupt involvement with Ukraine and China, and is the same person who was coordinating the corrupt activity between the Biden family and Ukraine and China. The Left calls the scandal “disinformation being spread by the Russians” while they quite literally have someone who grew up in the Soviet Union spreading disinformation among We The People.

The best part is that Twitter wouldn’t allow me to post about it because they are part of the partisan BigTech oligarchy. You just can’t make this stuff up…

Senators Cruz and Hawley have spoken out against the BigTech tyranny, and I hope to see something done by legal means in the near future, but the Left is rarely held accountable for their actions. They should not be afforded those protections if they are to act like a publisher, such as the New York Times or Washington Post. They should also be responsible for interfering in an major US election because of their shielding of the truth about the Democratic Nominee.

This is a clear abuse of their power at these BigTech social media companies, and we cannot let We The People be quieted. There are also other options for social media that are conservative friendly like MeWe, Wimkin, WeGo, and Parler. I encourage you to check them out, and if you do, you can find me using the name of the site: Bacon Breaks It Down (@baconbreaksitdown).

Spread the word about the tyrannical governing of our social media and share the article from the New York Post exposing the Biden family’s corruption! We have officially entered Fauschwitzbook. Censorship is just the beginning, and we must not let them shut us out!

Senator Joshua Hawley [R-MO] has been one respectable Senator that has spoken out over the BigTech tyranny, and has taken action against Facebook and Twitter. The likelihood of anything changing or repercussions for Dorsey or Zuckerburg are slim to none. Hopefully, if anything comes out of this it would be exposure of Hunter and Joe Biden’s activities and questioning of the censorship by those whose eyes are not open to the fake news media lies.

UPDATE 10/19/20:

Social media company Twitter finished its week of apparently politically motivated censorship on its platform by banning tweets regarding the efficacy of masks from Dr Scott Atlas, a member of the White House scientific team battling the coronavirus.

Atlas, a senior fellow at Stanford’s Hoover Institute, not only had his tweets removed, he was banned from tweeting until he deleted the tweets that Twitter for unclear reasons objected to.

Dr Atlas told The Federalist, “In the deleted tweet, I cited the following evidence against general population masks:

1) Cases exploded even with mandates: Los Angeles County, Miami-Dade County, Hawaii, Alabama, the Philippines, Japan, the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Israel.
2) Dr. Carl Heneghan, University of Oxford, director of the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine and editor in chief of British Medical Journal Evidence-Based Medicine: ‘It would appear that despite two decades of pandemic preparedness, there is considerable uncertainty as to the value of wearing masks.’
(https://www.cebm.net/covid-19/masking-lack-of-evidence-with-politics/)
3) The WHO: ‘The widespread use of masks by healthy people in the community setting is not yet supported by high quality or direct scientific evidence and there are potential benefits and harms to consider’ (http://bitly.ws/afUm)
4) The CDC: ‘Our systematic review found no significant effect of face masks on transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza.’ (https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/eid/article/26/5/19-0994_article).
I also cited an article giving detailed explanation of the reasons why masks might not prevent spread: https://t.co/1hRFHsxe59″

Watch Dr Scott Atlas, member of the scientific team of the White House Coronavirus Taskforce, speaking to The Hoover Institution on the efficacy of lockdowns, social distancing, and school closings:

Also, it was brought to my attention that you cannot find any results if you search “Kyle Rittenhouse” on Facebook, which I have verified in the screenshot below:

Here is some of the hysteria on Twitter over the censorship of the NY Post article:
